Welcoming extremist
Does the Tea Party have the same problem that Islam has?
Last week we had the Shirley Sherrod story. Andrew Breitbart released a video clip asserting that the NAACP condones racists like Shirley Sherrod. The NAACP, and her employer (USDA, Tom Vilsack) instantly condemned her, and she was forced to resign. After actually watching the full video we all learned that it was not a racist speech, but quite the opposite. OUCH.

But even after being called out to apologize, Andrew Breitbart refuses. He claims the reaction of the crowd shows that the NAACP condones racism. I watched the full 45 min tape, and I have to say I saw nothing that would lead me to believe that the crowd was racist. Yeah they laughed when she talked about the man trying to show his superiority. In the part where she explains she did not use the full force of her ability to help the farmer, I heard and felt uneasiness from the crowd. Some of the people in the audience appeared on Anderson Cooper’s 360 explaining that they have heard the speech before, and that they personally knew Mrs. Sherrod. I’m not seeing Andrew’s point. Even more disturbing is that pundits like Anne Coulter and Erick Erickson will not denounce Andrew Brietbart. Instead they circle the wagons.
The Tea Party has a problem with extremists. White supremacists, national socialists, Sarah Palin, bloggers, religious leaders, all have found a place in the Tea Party to push their agendas. Islam has much the same problem with fundamentalists, and combatants.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” - Arabian proverb
Islam claims it does not condone the violence of the fundamentalists. But they still condone the fundamentalism. The treatment of women, homosexuals, and religious intolerance are shared views in Islam. Just as Tea Party members hold disdain for the president, Muslims hold disdain for infidels. And both will welcome almost anyone to damage the things they disdain. Not violently, well not publicly. Unless you are Sharron Angle (R), she’s a Tea Party member running for senate in Nevada against Harry Reid. This is what she said about the 2nd amendment:
“And our Founding Fathers, they put that Second Amendment in there for a good reason, and that was for the people to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. In fact, you know, Thomas Jefferson said it is good for a country to have a revolution every twenty years. I hope that’s not where we’re going, but, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies. They’re saying, "My goodness! What can we do to turn this country around?" And I’ll tell you. The first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out.” - Sharron Angle (R) Nevada
There you have it; an established Tea party member condoning violence. Have they ousted her? Have they denounced her? Or did they circle the wagons?
I have the opinion that we all segregate in our minds, it makes it easier to process information. Sometimes we use race, age, sex, religion, name, height, weight, etc. to group people. However our algorithms are usually flawed. Knowing that we are flawed, it is a mistake to assume these thoughts in our minds are fact. Manifesting them into reality is what I consider racism, sexism, age discrimination, etc.
Was this a teachable moment for you?

Very interesting guy
I first saw this hilarious video; Shine Baby, SHINE!
Eat that Sarah Palin!
You may know him as JR Ewing from the TV show Dallas or maybe Major Anthony Nelson from I dream of Jeannie. Larry Hagman at 71 years old, is now the front man for Solarworld.com, and he is selling his piece of Heaven.
With the solar power system costing $750,000, a helipad, and a bed under a gazebo that usually puts a house out of my price range. Even with the first time buyer credit. The house also pumps out $10,000 of electricity a year, so include power production facility to the list.
How much?
11 million doll hairs
Not too bad, but I’m more of an underground missile silo type guy. Perfect for nuclear war, alien invasions, epidemic breakouts, and zombies.
You can watch the real estate video here.

Site still growing Feature UPDATE
I thought I would update the blog to reflect some of the changes that have taken place on the site in the last few days. I have been very busy tidying up the back end and securing the site. I have also added lots of content. Here is a list of some of the additions.
- Site security
- Polls
- Multiple RSS feed formats
- Updates to BP
- Updates to @MantisLIVE
- Updates to WCG
- My Games (NES | SEGA)
- Language Translations
- Quick Links
- Image Galleries
- Many more back-end enhancements
You may have noticed that I turned off new user registration, as well as if you had an account previously you must re-register. Sorry! I really want to get this feature locked down so I do not expose member’s private information. Once I active user registration some things I hope to offer are access to restricted Site Galleries, Downloads, and a few other features still in the works.
One thing I would like is some way to display a Steam user’s game statistics, achievements, and current status. No such luck! Not even a RSS feed. If you have information on this please let me know.
Was watching Tosh.0 saw this funny as hell video, thought I would share.

The best deal ever!
Today my wife and I got a brand NEW King size Tempur-Pedic® Mattress. That’s a 79” x 80” sponge with a 2pcs. box-spring. Sounds pretty good HUH?
Well we got ours for $300.
The bed has quite a novelty to it. Every time we walk by the bed we jump onto it. Have you seen the movie Cloudy with a Chance of MeatBalls? When Flint Lockwood & Sam Sparks jump off the Jello springboard into the pool of Jello… well that is exactly what it is like. There is no bounce to the bed, it’s amazing. I’m wondering how the bed will feel after a good night’s sleep. I’ve been on beds before that feel great, till about 4am and your back is aching. Getting the bed into the house was quite fun. While the 2pc (38” x 80”) box-springs were the only way I could have got it into our room, the Tempur-Pedic® mattress is a BITCH. Imagine a 6 ½’ square foam sponge about 8”-10” thick, weighing about 125 lbs. I bound it up with some rope like a taco. That gave it some support in the middle but it was still like carrying a dead guy in a bag.

Our old bed was a “heavily traveled” Queen sized Sealy mattress. It’s time had come and gone about 9 months ago. This new acquisition could not have come at a better time.
List of things I’ve already done on the bed:
- Jumped on it
- Rolled from end to end (1 ½ rolls)
- Glass of water trick (Works!)
- Tested for SPAQ (SPAQ is superior)
- Fitted sheets seem to stay in place better
I would include a list of things I’m going to do, but we all know where that list is going to go. If you are still reading this I’m sure you want to know what SPAQ stands for: Sexual Position Assistance and Quality. If you are considering buying one of these mattresses I would have to highly recommend getting one. But only if you are rich, or get a deal like I did.
$300 BUCKS!
w00t!
